Does anyone know what the top speed is on the cruze 1.4? I had mine up to 127 on the hy in the flat and it seemed like it still had a little bit more but I ran out of road

Speed is generally capped at the tire rateing as installed stock on the car.

The fastest I've had my 2012 1.4L Auto is up to 110.

I know the written top speed is 136 for mine but apparently my dad had mine at 140 at one point. He loves this car.

fastest I've seen in my 12 was 196 (km/h translate that to Merican) ... and no noise or nothing it was surprisingly tame at such ridiculous speeds.

i had my auto up to 133mph the first time. and than a cobalt thought he was the **** and cut me off. i blew past him at 90 and carried it to 141 and got back out because of a cross wind. he caught back up and past me. At that point i said i broke enough laws.

My 2013 has enough power and plenty of gear left to go over 112mph. Just stuck there from the factory speed limiter.

My cruze is stock with just the spark plugs gaped at .035 and hit 127 but had to let out cause I was at my exit. 2012 Ltz rs auto

My tires are 215/60R16 92S (LT car with aluminum wheels) so no matter how you slice it the car is limited to 112 MPH.And yes Vtuner or Trifecta can remove speed limiters.I have no idea what there policy is on that.But i wouldnt up it unless your tires have the rateing for it.Thats good common sense.I do believe a tuned auto or manual would hit 135 MPH under the right conditions.What tire rateings are you guys seeing on upper level Cruze vehicles.I was going to look at a few at work but forgot to look.

...the REAL answer is: it depends on how much HP your engine is putting out at the time you're trying for that speed record. Why? Because the Cruze is basically "power-limited" by it's aerodynamic drag vs. HP-output.
The 'top speed' numbers from Car & Driver automotive magazine have been:
Nov.2011 C&D: 131 mph (drag limited) - Eco Cruze (6M)
Jun.2011 C&D: 132.2 mph(N, 4th gear) / 132.1 mph(S, 4th gear) - Eco Cruze (6M)
Sep.2010 C&D: 124 mph (drag limited) - LTZ Cruze (6A)
Dec.2010 C&D: 114 mph (gear limited) - 1.8L LS Cruze (6A)
APR.2011 C&D: 124 mph (drag limitied) - 1.4LT LT Cruze (6A), "...6 Car shoot out..."
These numbers, especially when comparing the 1.4T models, show the benefit of the aerodynamic tweaks Chevy did for the ECO trims.

My ECO MT came with V (149 MPH) rated tires.

The 2LT has continentals contiprocontacts that are 93H speed rated, so ~130mph.

I'm running the stock 18's that came on my Ltz. I just have to wait till the weather clears up here in Missouri so I can get it back out on the hy and open her up. I'm goin to start building my air intake as soon as it warms up some but it looks like that will be a while just got 10 in of snow
